The True Meaning of Easter
People all over the planet have finished celebrating the 2025 Easter holiday in various ways. These days it seems that families gather for a meal, children are given colorful baskets of sugary candies and toys and colorful egg hunts are a highlight for all. Some families attended religious events to worship Jesus Christ as a savior, others visited the mall for a picture with the bunny.
Perhaps we all need a post pandemic reminder of what this event means in the bigger picture of life. Easter is a celebration of Ishtar, also known as Eostre, a goddess of androgyny, the combination of male and female traits. It also celebrates love, fertility, and war. In those times, Eostre was celebrating her conception and pregnancy of her child.
In modern times, it seems that most people are too busy staring at a phone to contemplate the real meaning of anything. Most of us don’t even know why we are living, or that we each have a divine self on the other side of the spiritual veil that we cross when we are born into physical life. You probably don’t even realize that you had to meet all kinds of criteria to even be allowed to enter Earth, with the way we treat some of our fellow beings.
Some have ventured past the commercialized, conditioned version of Easter and become seekers of the truth. These are the people that have realized that we truly are spiritual beings having a human experience. Our spiritual selves had to make the cut and agree to go through the veil that separates the human world and the spiritual world. Then, we descend to the lower vibrations of the Earth plane of existence. This is why we look up to God.
The real reason we come to earth is to expand the essence of our soul. If you look past the body and its coverings, you may be able to see that there are different souls of various types. Some people are new to this process. These souls may take a very long time to learn the lessons of life and will likely make many mistakes. Some beings are more mature and learn a bit easier and faster. Others have visited the Earth plane many, many times. These people are the ones we call old souls.
The beautiful part about this phenomenon is that these soul types are sprinkled all over the planet, in different countries, different aged bodies, with different colored skin and in different roles. To make it really interesting, some of the souls are inside of animals instead of human beings. This is where the idea of vessel for God comes from. The body is the vessel and the God part is the energy that is extended all of the way from the spirit world through the veil and into our physical bodies. This energy is called Prana. It is the force that gives life to things. It is the energy that feeds us and all of existence.
For many of us, the beginning of finding meaning is to start contemplating what we were told and to begin to discover the truth. This is called becoming spiritually conscious.
